E-waste recycling effort helps people with disabilities hone job skills

In 1968, a group of parents got together to create a better educational experience for their disabled children. EnableUtah has since helped thousands of individuals with disabilities receive training and employment.

Carl Johnson, Maria Geil and Jared Dain load electronics as EnableUtah hosts a free e-waste recycling event in Ogden on Saturday. The event collected discarded consumer electronics that otherwise would have ended up in landfills and helped people with disabilities hone job skills. EnableUtah was founded in 1968 by a group of parents seeking to create a better education experiences for their children. The organization helps people with disabilities obtain training, employment and achieve independence.
